Job Description

Pay Range: $30 -$34/hr. The pay rate may differ depending on your skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Plan and execute the daily operations of the HR department.
  • Complete all staffing changes and HR deliverables including I-9 administration.
  • Assist with recruiting and Onboarding new hires.
  • Provide training to stakeholders and new employees.

Work Interactions:

  • Work interactions will include all Law Center Departments with consistent collaborations with the Dean’s Office, Faculty Affairs, Financial Affairs, Academic Affairs, Information Systems Technology (IST) and University Information Systems (UIS); University Human Resources, Office of Faculty and Staff Benefits, Payroll Services and HR partners throughout other campuses.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and a minimum of three years of progressive human resource, or business administration experience (or combination of education and experience) required.

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in human capital management operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs; Gmail, calendar; and Zoom and Microsoft Teams applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in using Human Resource Information Systems.
  • Ability to analyze problems and offer timely, efficient solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience presenting information in large forums to diverse populations.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of human resources policies and labor laws.
  • Technical experience with Workday; and training or facilitation experience preferred.
