Job Description:

• Designs and oversees the mechanical design of electronics units.
• The selected engineer will be responsible for conceptual design of electronics chassis to ensure the design meets environmental requirements, determining interconnects internal and external to the unit, defining CCA/PWB outlines and mechanical interface locations, evaluating CCA components for additional mechanical or thermal support and implementing solutions to resolve those conditions.
• Mechanical piece parts and assemblies will be detailed using Model Based Engineering requirements.
• The engineer will hold peer reviews on products prior to release.
• When required, the engineer will support PDR/CDR level reviews with the customers in order to present their designs and describe how they meet all requirements.
• Manufacturing support will be provided for products in assembly, such as investigating nonconformances and determining appropriate repair/rework dispositions.
• Worker will Telework < 50% (3 days onsite, 1 day remote)
