Position Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer with expertise in HashiCorp tools to join our growing Devops and DevSecops team.
• The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the security posture of our clients development and operations processes while leveraging HashiCorp technologies to streamline infrastructure management and deployment.
• The customer is in the Banking and Financial services domain.

Responsibilities:

• DevSecOps Integration: Lead the integration of security practices into the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring security is ingrained throughout development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize HashiCorp tools such as Terraform, Vault, and Consul to implement and maintain infrastructure as code, enabling efficient and scalable infrastructure deployment.
• Security Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated security processes and controls to identify and remediate vulnerabilities and threats in both application code and infrastructure. Python, Perl and Ansible.
• Continuous Monitoring and Threat Detection: Implement continuous monitoring solutions to detect and respond to security incidents, working closely with the incident response team. Evaluate products and consult / recommend best fit tools.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and security professionals, to ensure security is an integral part of the development lifecycle.
• Compliance and Auditing: Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security requirements. Conduct regular security audits.
• Training and Awareness: Provide training and guidance to development and operations teams on secure coding practices, DevSecOps methodologies, and the effective use of HashiCorp tools.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for security processes, configurations, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevSecOps roles.
• Hands-on experience with HashiCorp tools, including Terraform, Vault, and Consul – Ansible, Perl, Python are a Plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g.Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in HashiCorp tools (e.g., HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate).
